Vintage publicity still photo (8” x 10 1/4”) of glamorous movie star Joan Crawford released January 3, 1939 with attached Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) Radio press release to promote Ms. Crawford’s appearance on CBS’s new Screen Guild Show that Sunday, January 8th. This publicity still is in very good to very fine condition. Since this is an original, 85 year old vintage still photo, it is bound to have some slight imperfections, particularly around edges as routinely found in vintage photographs. There are minor border defects & other minor marks or creases in the border & at corners likely acquired thru handling. What makes this still photo especially valuable is photo is partially (although very fragilely) attached to the CBS press release providing the details to publicize Crawford’s appearance on then-new radio show. The CBS press release is in very good condition but does have some staining particularly on portion of press release attached to back of photo.
