Turkish Ottoman Rustic Iznik Style Hand Painted Green Purple Floral Wall Plate
There are no markings on this piece to indicate brand, country of manufacture or materials so I am going to tell you what I do know.
This was purchased in a flea market in Paris and is very much in the style of Turkish Iznik hand painted glazed pottery. This is NOT Iznik but has the rich colors and detailed design. It is hand made. The design here is an urn overflowing with flowers. It measures 9.25 diameter.
There is a wall hanging wire on the back. The actual ceramic (might be earthenware) has a rustic appearance especially on the back. The colors are very rich and vibrant and the design has a slightly raised texture.
Condition: There is minor crazing but in otherwise excellent condition with no known flaws or damage.
