What is FUKAGAWA-SEIJI CO., LTD.
Fukagawa-Seiji Co., Ltd. is a Japanese ceramic manufacturer located in Arita-cho, Saga Prefecture.
The company was founded in January 1894 by Fukagawa Chuji, the second son of Fukagawa Eizaemon of Koransha, also located in Arita.
In 1900, they exhibited their porcelain at the World Exposition in Paris (they dared to introduce their porcelain not as Chinaware but as Fukagawa Porcelain) and won the highest honor, the Medaille d'Or.
